What to Expect
Our rafting trips take place on some of the most scenic rivers in the UK, offering stunning views of the Lake District that you can only experience from the water.
We always choose the best location based on water conditions, so flexibility is key.
Our meeting points vary, but all of our locations are within or around the Lake District National Park. The furthest North could be Lazonby in Penrith. The rest are in the Southern Lakes.
If you’re heading to the Lake District on holiday, we recommend choosing accommodation that suits your trip and being prepared to travel to the meeting point. We always recommend having access to a car as public transport is unlikely to get you to some of our locations in time.
Raft Options
💰 Shared Rafts (Per Person) – Join a raft with other adventurers. The raft guide will allocate seating on the day.
🛶 Private Raft (2 – 6 People) – Keep the raft exclusive to your family.
🚣 Larger Groups – Either go in shared rafts or book additional private rafts as needed.
Each private raft holds 2 – 6 people, while shared rafts may hold up to 8, depending on water levels and raft size.
Raft allocations are determined by the guides on the day, so while we always try to keep families together, we can’t guarantee that everyone will be on the same shared raft.
However, all rafts stay together on the water and take part in fun games, making it an interactive and fully engaging experience for kids and adults alike.
✔ Children will always be with at least one of their grown-ups.
✔ Pairs will never be split up.
If you’d like to keep your raft private, you will need to book the appropriate number of private rafts for your group.
