White Water Rafting can be traced back to 1811 when the first attempt to navigate the Snake River in Wyoming, USA took place!
But why is called White Water Rafting? This is because we are rafting over the White Water, taking an 14 foot inflatable raft over Rapids – just for fun of course!
-

Generally speaking, the worse the weather, the better the rafting! If you’re fairly local, we’d recommend coming during or after the rain. If you’re booking a trip to The Lake District, then we’d recommend the months from August to April. We do go out in all weathers; if it’s been dry, the water will be lower, and sometimes fairly gentle. If it’s been raining, the rapids will be higher.

Groups are sometimes divided across rafts on the day, and this is decided by the raft guide, in accordance with water conditions. Two people would stay together, and we will always try to keep families together. A child must always be on the same raft as a parent/ legal guardian.
Rafts travel in convoy with a fully qualified raft guide, to give instructions, and to keep everyone safe. There is lots of fun and interaction between the rafts!

Under AALA license R2865 we are legally allowed to take children who may not be with their parent. They will still need an adult to sign the T&Cs. We would ask that ALL parents check the T&Cs before booking though. There must always be one adult on each raft please.
